SCOPE
This document provides detailed instructions and photos for Toyota door open limit switch retrofit
SPECIAL INFORMATION
OEM power to the sliding doors
should be in the OFF position
during retro-fit installation
1. Remove the weather-strip
and pull out the wire
harness for the old switch
assembly

2. Using a 10mm socket
remove the switch assembly
from the rail and place aside
until you are ready to cut
the wires
3. Using a reciprocating saw or
another suitable tool cut out
the end of the slotted hole
in the rail as shown. Make
sure surface doesn’t have
any sharp edges left after
the rail is cut.
CRITICAL TO QUALITY
The tang may become caught if
you do not eliminate rail
interference
4. Install the new switch
assembly CA3041-SP onto
the bottom rail by placing
slotted holes over the
threaded studs of rail.

5. Place washers and lock nuts
onto the threaded studs.
6. With the door in a latched
position, before tightening
the switch assembly down,
to attain the proper switch
location, slide the switch
assembly forward until you
hear the switch click.
7. Using the cordless drill and
10 mm socket, tighten down
the 2 nuts.

8. To wire the switch assembly,
cut the wiring harness
orange/white and black wire
9” from the end of the
sleeve.
9. Strip ¾” of casing off both
wires that have been cut.
Twist the orange/white
wires together and the two
black wires together and
solder.
10. Move heat shrink into
position and heat evenly
until no gaps are between
wire and heat shrink. Once
cool, slide loom casing back
over wires and re-install into
the panel. Be sure the
weather-strip is replaced
and set.

11. Close the door and check
the relationship of the door
latch with the switch
assembly.
CRITICAL TO QUALITY
You want to have some slight
movement of the tang on the
switch. Do NOT have it at full
open.
Adjust the switch assembly as
needed
12. Turn the power to the doors
back on and run the door
and ramp to ensure
everything is working
properly
