TOPIx - SSM72293 - Jaguar XE / XF & F Type HVAC System stuck in Hibernation Mode Page 1 of 1 Reference SSM72293 Models F-TYPE / X152 XE / X760 XF / X260 Title Jaguar XE / XF & F Type HVAC System stuck in Hibernation Mode Category Electrical Last modified 26-Feb-2016 00:00:00 Symptom 208000 Climate Control Content Issue: Customers or Technicians may report that the HVAC Cabin Temperature Control does not function correctly and is stuck at 22 degrees Centigrade or 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Customer or Technician may also see the Message ‘A/C System in Hibernation' Condition - waiting to wake up’ displayed on the Touch screen Cause: The HVAC system needs to operate automatically which during the first operation then lubricates the A/C Compressor or in the unlikely event, the HVAC system has a concern detected Action: 1. Ensure that the vehicle is in ‘Customer / Normal Mode’ and not in Transport or Manufacturing Mode 2. Start the vehicle and leave it at idle for a minimum of 5 minutes. Cycle the ignition and re-test This will allow the self-lubrication routine to complete. 3. If the issue persists, check for signs of A/C gas leaks on the HVAC system, If evidence of a leak is found, Investigate & repair the cause of the leak before re-charging the system 4. If no leaks are found, raise a Technical Assistance case with DTS to request further diagnostic help with the repair. http://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/service/archive/630323/index 3/1/2016
