Background American Honda (AHM) is investigating certain 2013-2014 Accords & 2013 Civic Sedans with a customer complaint of SRS Light ON with the DTC 82-11 (Internal Failure of the Front Passenger’ s W eight Sensor – Front Inner Side), 82-21 (Internal Failure of the Front Passenger’ s W eight Sensor – Rear Inner Side), 83-31 (Internal Failure of the Front Passenger’ s W eight Sensor – Front Outer Side) and/or 83-41 (Internal Failure of the Front Passenger’ s W eight Sensor – Rear Outer Side) stored. To fully understand the cause of this condition, AHM would like to collect certain information from the vehicle in a specific condition prior to you attempting a repair of any kind. Qualifiers AHM is interested ONLY if the vehicle meets the following requirements: 1. For 2013-2014 Accord, both 2-door & 4-door, any trims are accepted. 2. For 2013 Civic, 4-door only, any trims are accepted. 3. At least one or more DTCs must be stored: 82-11, 82-21, 83-31 and/or 83-41. 4. Must have trash, debris or other items stored under the front passenger seat or in the foot wells. Action Required If you have or know of such a vehicle, please call the Technical Research & Support (TRS) Group at 800-880-1072.
