CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: An 'Adaptive Dynamics Fault' message may be displayed in the message center with Diagnostic
Trouble Codes (DTC) C1024-00, C110C-14, C110D-14, and C110D-19 stored in the Adaptive Damping control
module.
Cause: This may be caused by damaged wires at the Adaptive Dynamics front damper(s) caused by rotation of
the front dampers during normal driving.
Action: Should a customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

CAUTION: Take care when removing the
cover; failure to follow this instruction may
result in damage to the harness.
NOTE: Note the fitted position of the
cover and the grommet before removal.
Remove the suspension top cover.
 Remove the two torx bolts.
 Release the grommet.
2.
NOTE: Note the orientation of the
electrical connector during removal.
Release the wiring harness.
 Carefully release the electrical connector.
 Release the fir tree clip.
3.
CAUTION: Make sure the electrical
connector is correctly aligned before
securing in place; failure to follow this
instruction may result in damage to the
vehicle.
Install the new link harness.
 Connect the electrical connector.
 Secure the fir tree clip.

CAUTION: Make sure that there is a
sufficient length of existing wiring harness to
make the connection to the new link harness.
Using a suitable tool, remove the damaged section
of the wiring harness (see TOPIx Workshop
Manual, Section 418-02).
5. Using the Jaguar Land Rover-approved harness repair kit, join the new link harness to the existing harness.
 Make sure that the wiring harness is protected with locally-sourced suitable insulation tape.
6.
CAUTION: Make sure that the wiring harness is not damaged during the installation of the
suspension cover.
CAUTION: Make sure that the dowels are correctly aligned.
Install the suspension top cover.
 Carefully align the grommet.
 Tighten the two torx bolts to 9 Nm.

NOTE: A new link harness must be fitted to both front dampers.

Repeat steps 1-6 to the other front adaptive damper.
