1. Open the power tailgate.

2. Inspect for a loose/adrift power tailgate switch.
3.
NOTE: the 'tailgate' may also be referred to as 'liftgate'.
Install a new tailgate trim panel (see TOPIx Workshop Manual, section 501-05).
4. Check the operation of the power tailgate by using the power tailgate switch to close and open the tailgate.
