Unsatisfactory Second Row Seat Comfort

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: On vehicles fitted with heated second row seating, a hard 'lump' may be felt through the surface of the
second row seat cushion cover while sitting on the seat
Cause: This may be caused by incorrect positioning of the heater mat within the second row seat cushion.
Action: Should a customer express concern, follow the Service Instruction below.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION:
1. Remove the affected second row seat cushion heater mat (see TOPix Workshop Manual section 501-10: Seating Rear Seat Cushion Heater Mat).
2. Visually check that the heater mat is installed correctly ( ,/) with the control unit positioned within the foam cut-out
as shown.

• If the heater mat is installed correctly ( ,1) with the control unit positioned within the foam cut-out, continue to
the next step.
• If the heater mat is not installed correctly (X) with the control unit positioned within the foam cut-out, reposition
as necessary.
• Continue to the next step.
3. Install the second row seat cushion heater mat (see TOPix Workshop Manual section 501-10: Seating - Rear Seat
Cushion Heater Mat).
