2016 Pilot Third Row Seatbelt Inspection Safety Recall Q&A What is the reason for this recall? During assembly of the third row seat and seatbelt, it is possible that the rear (third row) seatbelts could be trapped between the rear seat and the interior side panel. If a rear seatbelt is trapped, any occupant using the seatbelt may not be properly restrained in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury. How did Honda discover this problem? All of the affected vehicles were sold in the U.S. Worldwide {US-only): less than 1,700. This is a Honda manufacturing issue.
