Warranty Extension: 2009-14 Pilot Front Suspension Rear Lower Arm Bushing
Today, June 30, 2015, American Honda is announcing a warranty extension for some 2009-14 Pilot vehicles due to noisy
or leaking front suspension rear lower arm (compliance) bushings. Please check VIN status inquiry to determine if a
vehicle is eligible for the extension.
Service Bulletin 15-045: Warranty Extension: 2009-14 Pilot Front Suspension Rear Lower Arm Bushing will be posted to
the Service Information System in support of the warranty extension. The bulletin provides a 7 year, 100,000 mile
(whichever comes first) warranty for compliance bushing repairs.
For 2009 and 2010 vehicles that may lapse out of coverage within the next two years, a second bulletin, 15-044:
Warranty Extension: 2009-10 Pilot Front Suspension Rear Lower Arm Bushing is being launched concurrently to provide
a two-year grace period to owners. Although the repair is the same regardless of the bulletin, VIN status inquiry links to
S/B 15-044 will be removed on July 1, 2017, when the grace period expires. The bulletin provides warranty coverage until
June 30, 2017, or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first, for compliance bushing repairs.
American Honda expects to notify customers of this warranty extension by mid-August.
Be sure to check VIN status inquiry to determine if either of these or any other outstanding campaign repairs may apply.
