Noise from Climatic Air Conditioning Control Motor- Recirculation Mode not Functioning On initial startup or when switching between Fresh Air/ Recirculation air mode, a knocking noise can be heard in front passenger side of the dash panel under the glove box. Technical Background The servo motor case becomes separated during operation. The servo motor cover may have a deviance in thickness causing poor contact at the locking tabs. Technical Bulletin Servo motor production date: The production date is stamped in the format of (ddmmyy). Affected motors were built before August 12th 2014. Technical Bulletin Service Once the problem has been confirmed, follow the repair procedure below: 1. Remove -V113- Recirculate/Fresh air servo motor retaining bolts at the heater housing, see repair manual group 87 Recirculation Door Motor V113, Removing and Installing in Elsa. 2. Ensure the condition of the Fresh/ Recirculation actuator corresponds to the condition shown in Figure 1 and replace with a new Fresh Air /Recirculation actuator. Check the production date of new Fresh air/ Recirculation servo motor as shown in Figure 3. Production date should be after 120814 (dd/mm/yy).
