FRONT SUSPENSION WHEN TURNING

NOTE:
 This bulletin does not apply to Rogue vehicles with VINs starting with a “K” or
“J”.
 This bulletin does not apply to S35 series Rogue Select.
IF YOU CONFIRM
There is a popping noise from either the right or the left front coil springs when turning to
the right or left.
NOTE: Electronic chassis ears may be helpful in isolating this type of noise.
ACTION
Replace both front coil springs, strut mount bearings, and all other parts listed under
PARTS INFORMATION.

Position the coil springs as shown on pages 2-5.

Check the front end alignment, adjust to factory specifications as needed.
NOTE: Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section FSU – Front
Suspension, for strut coil spring removal, installation, and alignment information.
IMPORTANT: The Coil Spring Installation Guidelines section in this bulletin MUST
be followed in order for a correct repair to be performed.

With the coil spring installed, the single dot must be ABOVE the two dots
(see Figure 4).

The side edge of the upper coil spring, located 90° counter clockwise from the gap,
needs to be as little as possible but it must be no more than 3.5 mm from the edge
of the spring seat (see Figure 7).

If the measurement is greater than 3.5 mm, rotate the coil spring into the spring seat
(close the gap).
