• Recall 247387 [USA]: Driver contact with a key in the collapsed position could inadvertently shut off the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. additionally, if the vehicle shuts off while driving, the air bags may not deploy in a crash as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 rogue and 2017-2022 rogue sport vehicles equipped with a jackknife style ignition key. The jackknife key may collapse into a folded position while driving.
  dealers will insert a spacer into the key slot of the jackknife key, free of charge. Interim notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed march 29, 2023. • Recall 210086 [USA]: Corrosion in the electrical connector can result in power window/seat failure, all-wheel-drive warning light illumination, battery drainage, and electrical connector damage that increases the risk of a fire.
  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2016 rogue vehicles. The electrical connector for the under dash harness may corrode due to water and salt intrusion from the driver's side foot well.
  dealers will remove the harness tape and harness covering and replace both connectors and apply white lithium grease to the connectors as necessary, free of charge. (nissan) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 altima vehicles manufactured january 3, 2013, to july 29, 2013, 2015-2016 rogue vehicles manufactured october 14, 2014, to august 12, 2016, and 2016 maxima vehicles manufactured june 4, 2015, to august 19, 2015. An incorrect occupant classification system (ocs) electronic control unit (ecu) may have been installed in the front passenger seat. The incorrect ecu and seat combination may misclassify the front passenger seat occupant.

• Recall 119674 [USA]: If the passenger frontal air bag does not deploy as intended in the event of a crash, the passenger is at an increased risk of injury.

(nissan) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 nissan maxima, 2013-2016 nissan altima, nv200, leaf, sentra, and pathfinder, 2014-2016 nissan nv200 taxi, infiniti qx60, qx60 hybrid, and q50 hybrid, 2014-2017 nissan rogue and infiniti q50, 2015-2016 nissan murano, murano hybrid, and chevrolet city express, 2014-2015 nissan pathfinder hybrid, and 2013 infiniti jx35 vehicles. In these vehicles, the front seat passenger occupant classification system (ocs) may incorrectly classify an adult passenger as a child or classify the seat as empty despite it being occupied. As a result, the passenger frontal air bag may be turned off and not deploy in the event of a crash.

Interim notices were sent to owners on may 31, 2016. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available.   Issue: on certain vehicles, water could build up under the carpet in the driver's foot well. If this happens, the water could cause damage to electrical connections. This could cause problems with various electrical systems (like the power windows or power seat) and the wiring harness could short circuit. Safety risk: a short circuit can create the risk of a fire, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off. Corrective actions: nissan will notify owners by mail.   On certain vehicles, a defect in the occupant classification system could allow an adult sitting in the front passenger seat to be classified as a child or an “empty seat”. This would suppress the airbag, which could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Correction: for affected altima, maxima, murano, rogue and sentra vehicles, dealers will reprogram the airbag control unit and the occupant classification system control unit. For affected leaf, nv200, pathfinder, q50 and jx35/qx60 vehicles, dealers will replace the occupant classification system electronic control unit.

  On certain vehicles, the anti-corrosion treatment of the outer tube of the rear lift gate stay may be insufficient. Over time, the outer tube of the rear lift gate stay may corrode and break off, which could increase the risk of injury. Correction: dealers will replace both rear door stays.

The sunroof leaks everytime it rains. No damage had been done and no accidents. Nissan dealership says it is not leaking, but there are water stains and i have watched rain pour in while it is raining. The drains have been cleaned out twice by a nissan dealership, but that does not fix the problem.

When i got into a car crash and i hit the deer really hard the airbags on the car did not deploy which where the deer almost smacked right into my window and went inside the car but damage and vehicle was not drivable at all need to tow it shop front car damaged to wheel at

While attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle hesitated to respond. Several seconds later the vehicle started performing as intended. Turning the car off when it doesn't accelerate from a stop and then turning it back on, fixes the problem for the moment. No warning lights came on. It happens more after being in stop and go traffic and it happens very sporadically

While driving on the highway going 55mph out of no where. No warning sign or anything the forward collision warning and then the malfunction comes across the display. And the suv just comes to a about 2 mph . Leaving me to pull over immediately to safety. This is not safety me or the drivers on the road. This has happened several times.

Passenger air bag light goes on and off whether there is an adult in the seat or not. There are a few recalls for this issue but my vin does not come up as an affected vehicle. There are several complaints of the same nature on the nhtsa website and i feel nissan needs to look into this issue.

The passenger airbag sensor is faulty, it randomly turns on and off indiscriminately when an adult is in the seat. I have already reached out to nissan because there is a similar recall but my vin isn’t covered in it. Nissan was unwilling to help and even when i took it to the nissan dealer they refused to change out the sensor. This is life threatening if the car gets in an accident and an adult is in the passenger seat, but the airbag does not deploy.

My vehicle failed to accelerate while stopped at a left turn with oncoming traffic. This happened a few times. And the most recent incident, my vehicle failed to shift, forcing me to drive my vehicle in the wrong gear for 10 miles at 4,000 rpm's. I brought the vehicle to the dealer for inspection but they couldn't reproduce the malfunction at that time. I'm currently driving my vehicle under significant safety risk.

My rear lift gate does not stay in the up position when i open it. It comes crashing down on my head and it’s hit me in the head several times as the lift gate comes down so quickly and abruptly. It’s hit others as well and has hurt them. When the full weight of the lift gate comes down it’s heavy and it hurts. It’s not safe to open anymore. There was a recall issued by the nhtsa placed on the 2016 rogue for the rear lift gate not staying open due to corrosive parts. Unfortunately my rogue was not included in the recall. My car was purchased in july and the recall was up to january 2016. I called nissan and because i am out of warranty they will not evaluate at their cost or fix it if it’s the same issue as the recall. I have not had it evaluated as i wanted to reach out to the nhtsa first. There were no warning lights to alert me to this issue. One day it just happened coming down hard and striking me in the head. I was really hurt. I had a headache for the entire day and small bump on the back of my head. It was not serious enough to see a doctor but doesn’t change the fact that i got hurt i am very nervous that the next time i open it it won’t stop about halfway and the full weight of the lift gate will come crashing down on me or someone else and cause serious injury. Please consider adding my vin number to the recall. It should included so that it can be evaluated at nissan’s expense and fixed.

I was just stopped at a red light. While sitting still waiting for the light, my car began to buck. And then the engine light came on. My car only has 68,000 miles on it. I have it serviced regularly. I took it directly to my mechanic and he thinks it's some kind of sensor problem. He reset the sensors and told me if it came back again to come back. Today i started my car to drive to the grocery and again i come to the. The corner and the bucking starts. I want ride home. I will be taking my car to the mechanic tomorrow. Also i just want to say your site says my car has five recalls. And it says that none of the recalls is needed at this time. I've never gotten a recall notice from nissan for my vehicle. So i don't know if they're reporting that they're doing these recalls on my car and they really aren't or what the problem is. Maybe someone there can help me with that too. Thank you
