IF YOU CONFIRM
A vibration from the accelerator pedal between 1600 - 2000 RPM.
ACTION
Install the new brake booster vacuum tube and hose listed in the PARTS INFORMATION
section of this bulletin.

1. Loosen the air duct assembly (aft)
screw clamps.
2. Separate the rubber air duct assembly
(aft) from the mass air flow sensor and
the electronic throttle control actuator.

3. Release the EVAP test port hose from
clip.

4. Release the breather hose clamp from
air duct assembly (aft).

5. Remove the breather hose from air duct
assembly (aft).

6. Pull the air duct assembly (aft) straight
up on the passenger side then the
driver side to release the clips.
7. Remove the air duct assembly (aft)
from vehicle.

8. Remove the acoustic absorber clips from cowl.
NOTE:
 There are 2 different possible acoustic absorber designs.

Clips located in the approximate area shown in Figure 4 and Figure 5.

9. Release the clamp from the brake
booster vacuum hose at the intake
manifold.
10. Remove the brake booster vacuum
hose from the intake manifold.

booster.
12. Remove the brake booster vacuum
hose from the brake booster.

13. Release the 2 brake booster vacuum
tube mounting clips.
NOTE: The passenger side mounting
clip is located under the acoustic
absorber in the approximate location
shown in Figure 8.

14. Remove the brake booster vacuum
tube from the vehicle.

NOTE:
 The new brake booster vacuum tube
will come with a new rubber hose for
the brake booster side.

The original rubber hose on the
intake manifold side will need to
be transferred to the new metal
brake booster vacuum tube.

All original hose clamps will need to
be transferred to the new brake
booster vacuum tube.

15. Locate the plastic sleeve installed on
the metal section of the new brake
booster vacuum tube.
NOTE: The old brake booster vacuum
tube is not equipped with the plastic
sleeve. The plastic sleeve will be used
in the next step to properly locate the
new brake booster vacuum line.

16. Install the new brake booster vacuum
tube.

17. Attach the driver side clip to the new
brake booster vacuum tube with the
plastic sleeve positioned on the driver
side of the clip.

18. Reinstall all other components in the reverse order of removal.
