This bulletin does not apply to Rogue Hybrid (T32H). IF YOU CONFIRM The MIL is ON with DTC P0181 (FTT SENSOR) and/or P0183 (FTT SEN/CIRCUIT) stored in the ECM. ACTION 1. Remove the fuel pump assembly. 2. Inspect the fuel pump assembly wiring, and reroute the wiring, if applicable. 3. Reinstall the fuel pump assembly. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair. Qualified technicians are properly trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. See your Nissan dealer to determine if this applies to your vehicle. 1/3 SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Remove the fuel pump assembly from the vehicle and place it in a clean working area. 2. To remove the fuel pump assembly, refer to the ESM: ENGINE > FUEL SYSTEM > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT > FUEL FILTER AND FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY. Inspect the routing of the yellow wires on the fuel pump assembly. The yellow and black wires should be routed the same way and retained at the top by the plastic wire retainer as shown in Figure 1. If the wires are routed correctly, continue to step 3. If the wires are not routed correctly, as shown in Figure 2, route them as shown in Figure 1. Use a new fuel pump seal when reinstalling the fuel pump into the fuel tank. NOTE: The FRT allows adequate time to access DTC codes. No other diagnostic procedures subsequently required. Do NOT claim any other diagnostic operation codes with this claim.
