MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BMS) PART NUMBER CHANGE
This Pitstop provides information regarding a running change to the High Voltage (HV) Battery
and Battery Management System (BMS) control unit assemblies on 2017MY Optima Hybrid (JF
HEV only, does not apply to PHEV) vehicles. See below for details regarding the correct part
numbers. Always use the VIN filter in the Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) to verify the correct
part number(s) for the affected vehicle.
Vehicles produced from June 27, 2016 to November 15, 2016:
 HV Battery P/N – 37510 E6000
 BMS P/N – 37513 E6000
Vehicles produced from November 15, 2016:
 HV Battery P/N – 37510 G0000
 BMS P/N – 37513 G0000
 NOTICE
The old and new HV battery versions and BMS are NOT compatible and cannot be
swapped for diagnostic checks.
For ANY repair, always use the VIN filter in the Electronics Part Catalog (EPC) to
verify the correct part number(s) for the affected vehicle.
