DESCRIPTION: This ATC is being issued to address clearance issues with coolant hoses on ISL9 CM2350 and ISL G CM2180 engines in certain Gillig Buses. This document authorizes certified repair locations to replace the coolant supply line connecting the oil cooler top connection to the back of the block, or the water pump inlet, or both. Please refer to the ESN list for the required replacement parts for each ESN. ACTION: In order to qualify for repair under this field action, an engine: 1 will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and 2 must show as OPEN status on QuickServe® Online. After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions: 1 Compare the ESN of the engine being repaired against the ESN list, Attachment A, to determine if it is eligible for hose replacement, water inlet replacement, or both. NOTE: No replacement parts are covered under this field action. These parts are already at the customer locations. If necessary, gaskets and O-rings may be claimed in this action. 2 If required, replace the water pump inlet elbow. Please refer to Procedure 008-082 in the appropriate Service Manual. 3 If required, replace the coolant supply hose to the heat exchanger. Please refer to the first two steps of the Remove Section and the last two steps of the Install Section of Procedure 008-053.
