Some vehicles may experience intermittent non-operation of the windshield wipers. The wiper motor cover
(A) may have been discarded during a previous repair. The missing wiper motor cover (A) may allow
elements to contaminate the wiper motor (B) and cause an intermittent open circuit.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
If the diagnosis requires a wiper motor replacement to correct the customers concern, install the wiper
motor cover if it is missing.
NOTE: Installation of a new wiper motor with a missing wiper motor cover may create a customer comeback situation.

NOTE: Wiper cover is not listed in GEPC WINDSHIELD WIPERS section. It is listed with the GEPC COWL
& EXTRACTOR GRILLES section.

Warranty Compliance Note:
Replacement of missing wiper cover or damaged wiper motor due to missing wiper cover is not covered
under Mazda's warranty policy.
