Bulletin No.: PIT5166C Date: Jan-2013 Subject: High Pitch Sound From Radio Display Models: 2012 Buick Enclave 2012 Chevrolet Malibu 2012-2013 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse 2012 GMC Acadia 2012-2013 GMC Sierra, Yukon Equipped with AM/FM/CD Radio (RPO US8 or UUI) This PI was superseded to update recommended field. Please discard PIT5166B. The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition/Concern Customers may comment about a high pitch buzz, whine, squeal, or hum noise from the radio display. This condition is most noticeable when the volume is very low or off. Recommendation/Instructions Replace the radio to correct this concern. Please contact your local ESC to obtain a replacement radio that does not exhibit this concern. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
