The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern
Some customers may state that the vehicle stalls after shifting out of park quickly after a key crank.
Recommendation/Instructions
The 2-Mode Hybrid requires a certain amount of engine run time (1-2 seconds) from initial key crank before moving the gear shift indicator out of park. Some
customers may experience a stall condition that results from an immediate shift out of park prior to the engine reaching full operating RPM. If such a condition
occurs, the transmission selector should be placed back in Park and the key should be cycled off. The engine can then be restarted, and after waiting
approximately 1-2 seconds, a shift can be made without interruption of further engine operation.
This is a normal condition and no parts should be replaced to try and resolve this concern.
