The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern
On rare occasions, a customer may have a vehicle concern of the check engine lamp being illuminated.
This may also be an intermittent concern.
Recommendation/Instructions
If the technician finds P16F3 with or without other codes in the ECM, check to see if updated calibrations are available for the ECM.
The description of the updated calibration(s) may not acknowledge that is repairs P16F3.
If updated ECM calibrations are available, install them and evaluate the vehicle to confirm the vehicle is repaired.
If updated calibrations are not available or trouble code P16F3 is not found in the ECM, follow normal diagnostics in Service Information.
