SITUATION:
The graphical towbar display may not be aligned to the physical towbar
position.
CAUSE:
This may be caused by the towbar graphical position not having been
validated for all model variants.
ACTION:
Should a Customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction
below.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION:

If the Customer concern is still present following towbar fitment
and using the Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic tool to
select the correct towbar type, go to Step 2.

Install a new rear camera and bezel (see TOPIx Workshop
Manual section 413-13: Parking Aid - Parking Aid Camera).

CAUTIONS:
◾ A Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery
power supply must be connected to the vehicle
battery during diagnosis / module programming.
◾ Make sure all ignition ON/OFF requests are carried
out; failure to perform these steps may cause
damage to control modules in the vehicle.

The Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic tool must
be loaded with SDD148.03 v.259 (or later).
Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved Midtronics battery
power supply to the vehicle battery.

Switch the ignition ON (engine not running).

Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic tool to the
vehicle and begin a new session.

Follow the on-screen prompts, allowing the diagnostic tool to
read the VIN, identify the vehicle, and initiating the data collect
sequence.

Select Diagnosis from the Session Type screen.

Select the Selected Symptoms tab and then select:
Electrical - Driving aids - Camera display - Tow
assist

Select continue.

Select the Recommendations tab.

Select Run to perform the 'Special applications - Camera
Replacement - Tow Bar Configuration' option.

Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task, ensuring
all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) are cleared.

When all tasks are complete, select the Session tab and then
select the Close Session option.

Disconnect the diagnostic tool and battery power supply from
the vehicle.
