I N F O R M AT I O N SECTION: 206-04: Rear Disc Brake S U B J E C T/ C O N C E R N : Squeal Noise From Rear Brakes AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE: MODEL: Discovery Sport (LC) MODEL YEAR: 2015 Onwards VIN: 500012 Onwards ASSEMBLY PLANT: Halewood MARKETS: NORTH AMERICA CONDITION SUMMARY: SITUATION: A squeal noise may be evident from the rear brakes during light application of the brake pedal. CAUSE: During certain conditions, the friction of the rear brake system can cause a high frequency noise during light application of the brake pedal. NOTE: Make sure that this bulletin is applicable only to vehicles with the listed concern. Use of the listed parts listed to address any concern than that listed may cause greater Customer dissatisfaction. An example of this noise may be found in Special Service Message SSM73150 in GCM, reference noise type 2. ACTION: Should a Customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction below.
