1.1.
The disc brake adjuster must be set according to the service note provided by the manufacturer, Knorr-Bremse.
NOTE
All vehicles with axles mounted with disc brakes are affected by this Service Bulletin.
Front and middle (60 ft) axles are equipped with SB7 brakes. Rear axles are equipped with SN7 brakes. 

Service-relevant changes to the
adjuster of Knorr-Bremse Air Disc Brakes
In order to optimize the coverage of different vehicle applications as well as regional differences,
Knorr-Bremse continuously works to improve its air disc brake product portfolio to correspond to
customer and market requirements.
In this context some service processes may need revision. A change is now advised relating to the checking
process of the adjuster and running clearance for air disc brake types SB6/7, SN5/6/7 and SK7.
Revised Process for these disc brakes:
Adjuster Check
The adjuster should be turned anti-clockwise by three clicks – formerly two to three.
Pad Fitting
After the pads have been adjusted to touch the brake disc, the adjuster should be
turned anti-clockwise by three clicks – formerly two to three.
The full wording of the processes is included in the latest service manual for each Knorr-Bremse range.

clearance is too small, the brake could heat up excessively leading to consequential damage.
