Condition
Some vehicles were equipped with a power fuse harness covered with an aluminum faced tape in the battery box area. There is a potential
that a short to ground can occur while working in the battery box.

121 T800 and C500 vehicles, (all U.S. and 0 Canada) built from 06/04/2015 through 05/19/2016 equipped with the following harness part

Service all chassis affected that enter your dealership, even if the customer has no issue with the chassis.

Review the attached chassis list for your dealer code and schedule your customer(s) for service if their chassis is on the list.
Review the DWWC or SIR for “Complete” next to the “34058” campaign code prior to performing this repair.
Follow the procedures below to wrap the harness within the battery box area with Coroplast tape.
This campaign can be performed at any time convenient for the customer (for example: during next scheduled maintenance interval).
Warranty
Through Standard Warranty (includes Extended Warranty) or for repairs completed by 08/01/2018, whichever is greater, Kenworth will pay for
parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up and labor:
0.5 hours labor to wrap the harness with Coroplast tape. Use Quick Claim code 34-58.
File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstances. A quick claim for standard labor must be filed first.

Disconnect the battery negative cable.
Remove the power fuse harness from the switch post.
Cut the cable ties that hold the harness to the battery cables.

Cover the harness within the battery box area with Coroplast tape, using a ¼ in. overlap to ensure that no aluminum is exposed.

Retain the harness to the battery cables with cable ties.
Connect the harness to the switch post.
Connect the battery negative cable.

left uncorrected, the harness could short to ground during a service event, damaging the batteries and, potentially, other
vehicle electronic or electrical components.

performed, please disregard this letter. You can find your nearest Kenworth dealer at Dealer Locator on the website

When contacting your selected Kenworth dealer, refer to campaign TIB 34-058 and the VIN listed on this letter. The work
will take approximately 1.0 hour and there will be no charge to you if completed within Standard Warranty (excludes
Extended Warranty) or for upgrades completed by 08/01/2018, whichever is greater. We apologize for this inconvenience
but ask for your cooperation to ensure your continued satisfaction with Kenworth products.
