CONDITION SUMMARY:
SITUATION:
Vehicle acceleration may be interrupted by a delay/hesitation in
transmission gear selection. A four-second delay in acceleration occurs
when a fifth-gear downshift is requested when the accelerator pedal is

in the depressed position at low vehicle speeds, during warm up when
the ambient temperature is 39°F / 4°C and lower.
CAUSE:
This may be caused by incorrect ball valve operation in the transmission
valve block.
ACTION:
Should a Customer express this concern, follow the Service Instruction
below.

The transmission Valve Block may also be referred to as Valve
Body Assembly or Hydraulic Control Unit.
