Screw for Targa roof emergency operation on the hydraulic unit of the roof drive mechanism.
Situation:
This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is
a possibility that the screw for Targa roof emergency operation on the hydraulic unit of the
roof drive mechanism on the affected vehicles may not have been tightened to the specified
tightening torque during the production process.
As a result, when the glass rear window is raised in order to top up engine oil, for example, the window
may not be held in position, but may slowly drop forward in direction of travel, thereby restricting the
available space.

Required:
Tighten screw for Targa roof emergency operation on the hydraulic unit of the roof drive mechanism.

The rear seat backrests pivot bearing lower trim cover can be somewhat challenging to remove.
The releases on the front lower trim cover are accessed from underneath the sides of the trim cover.
Approximately midway along the bottom edge on each side of the cover. The sides of the trim cover
must be bent outwards. This will release the inside locking tabs from the slots in the metal frame
of the rear panel. The locking tabs must be released before the trim cover can slide forward. See
Figures 1 and 2.

Labor, parts, and sublet will be automatically inserted when Technician is selected in WWS/PQIS. If
necessary, the required part numbers will need to be manually entered into warranty system by the dealer
administrator.
