After replacing the steering rack the replacement routine using the Off Board Diagnostic Information System for the steering rack control module
must also be conducted
Technical background
From 04/11/17 the control module replacement routine will be corrected within the applicable Off Board Diagnostic Information System release, until
that date please see the details within the Measure section of this TPI
Production change

Measure
Once replacement of the steering rack has been conducted - select  and enter the SVM code
4V044PARAM01 this will configure the steering rack control module to the correct level
Please note that you will also need to run the following tests after the mod measure has completed successfully (these are normally added into the
test plan automatically by the 44 - Replace CM routine):
•
16 - Steering angle sensor calibration
•
44 - Adapt end stops
•
44 - Clear fault memory
After 04/11/17 a modification measure will not be required, the replace routine will complete automatically
