ROOF ANTENNA INSPECTION/REPLACEMENT (SERVICE CAMPAIGN TUU)
Service Procedure:
ROOF ANTENNA INSPECTION
1.
Standing on a stable surface with enough
reach to grab the roof antenna, inspect roof
antenna cover for “loose” condition by
grasping the top of the antenna and gently
rocking antenna cover side to side (driver
side to passenger side) several times.
NOTICE
Force to exert should be equivalent
to no more than 5 lbs. side to side.
Too much force can damage the
antenna cover; too little force will not
properly inspect for cover retention.
2.
If the roof antenna cover stays secure, no
further work is needed.
NO GOOD – Cover is lifted from the
roof antenna body
If the roof antenna cover comes loose,
proceed to “ROOF ANTENNA
REPLACEMENT” on the following page to
replace the roof antenna assembly.
