1. Before proceeding, confirm that the DTC and one of the fault symptoms listed in the Condition are logged

4. Remove the original harness from the
reverse camera (Figure 3):
 First, locate the locking tab on the
reverse camera harness.
 Next, using a small flat head screw
driver, lift up on the locking tab.
 Finally, snap the old locking tab off
the defective harness to prevent
reuse.
Figure 3. Locate locking tab (1), lift up on tab with screwdriver
(2), snap tab off (3).
5. Carefully install the new reverse
camera harness onto the camera
assembly, as the harness can only be
installed one way. The connector is
keyed on both the camera and the
electrical harness to prevent incorrect
installation. Ensure they are correctly
aligned during installation (Figure 4).
Figure 4. When installing the new reverse camera harness onto
the camera assembly, ensure that the connectors are correctly
aligned.
6. When the harness is fully secured to the camera, there will be an audible click sound. The sound is caused
when the locking tab falls into place.
