Product Quality and Service Support, Quality Compliance Published September 6, 2017 Approved By: Tom Trisdale To: Toyota Dealers in Massachusetts From: Product Support Division Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. 6565 Headquarters Dr Plano, TX 75024 (469) 292-4000 Limited Service Campaign H0F – Remedy Notice Certain 2005 – 2010 Model Year Tacoma Certain 2007 – 2008 Model Year Tundra Certain 2005 – 2008 Model Year Sequoia Frame Corrosion Resistant Compound (CRC) Application This communication only applies to dealerships located in Massachusetts. Toyota has received a letter dated September 5, 2017 from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MADEP), confirming that the H0F campaign is exempt from air permit requirements as long as Toyota dealers comply with all conditions set forth in the MADEP letter. Your dealership will be able to do so by (1) keeping a copy of this MADEP letter in your records for the H0F and (2) following all instructions in the Dealer Information Packet. Your dealership may now begin applying CRCs to eligible vehicles under the H0F campaign, but before you do so please note the following: • You will receive a copy of the MADEP letter from your region staff. Please review it carefully and place it with your records for the H0F and other CRC campaigns (as required by Condition 2.e. of the letter). • Please review the Dealer Information Packet and Technical Instructions carefully before you start applying CRCs and make sure that you understand and can follow all compliance obligations, including the vehicle processing limits and recordkeeping obligations. Go to http://cleandealer.com/ to access on-line versions of the documents that must be maintained in your files and the log that you can use to make a record of your CRC vehicle processing. • Condition 1.b. in the MADEP letter refers to “the same two Vaupel HSDR 3300 spray guns previously used for the other approved campaigns”. You can meet this condition by using the new set of spray guns that were recently distributed because these new guns are the same make and model as the old spray guns. However, make sure to follow the instructions issued with those new spray guns by either disposing of or removing the old spray guns from your premises so that there is no potential for them to be used. If you have any questions, please contact your FTS (Field Technical Specialist) or DSPM (District Service & Parts Manager) for assistance. Thank you for your cooperation.
