 All items must be completed prior to customer delivery by an Audi technician
 Audi recommends using an Audi approved battery charger to prevent excessive battery discharge during inspection
 Refer to the Special functions tab of ODIS Diagnosis using GFF for the PDI function tests
 It is advised to start ODIS with the engine running to enable all 5F Test Plans in GFF and also to ensure SVM sees all control units
during the SVM check vehicle configuration

 Check Elsa for open campaigns and updates
 Verify tool kit is installed securely in luggage compartment
Transport Mode Deactivation, DTC Check, Set Service
Reminder
 Deactivate vehicle transport mode*
 Set spare tire pressure (See separate “2016 Normal Load
Condition Tire Pressure Table” posted on ServiceNet)
 Verify power rear tailgate is operational and set default
opening height (if equipped)*
 Set service reminder*
 Set adaption channel to enable CD Ripping (if equipped with
NAV)*

 Perform any open campaigns*
 Check horn operation

 Check battery clamps for proper torque*
 Perform a battery test*
 Check all fluid levels and top off if necessary
 Check engine oil level*

 Check all key buttons and features*
 Verify power rear lid/tailgate is operational and set default
opening height*
Lighting and Windshield
 Test exterior lighting functions
 Install wiper blades
 Test front washers (and headlight washers if equipped)*
 Check operation of window, lock, and seat controls*
 Inspect mirrors for proper operation*
 Inspect operation of all power outlets*
 Verify operation of all interior lights
 Check panoramic sunroof operation*
Interior
 Verify proper operation of climate control*
 Verify operation of all seat belts and latches
 Verify operation of front Passenger Occupant Detection
System
Settings
 Set Time source setting to “GPS” and set Auto daylight savings time to “on.”*
 Verify and set language and Measurement Units*
 Verify Voice Activation is operating (if equipped)*
Trunk Inspection
 Set “Music volume while parking” to 6 lines*
 Install wheel bolt cover removal tool from PDI kit into trunk
lid toolkit*
 Set dealership location in navigation (if equipped)*

 Insert SD card and test function of all slots
 Check for squeaks, rattles and wind noise
 Verify operation of AMI
 Test drive vehicle applying brakes several times*
 Verify operation of CD/DVD player (if equipped)
 Verify hold and release of parking brake
 Program the presets to local stations
 Verify quality of radio reception in AM/FM/SAT bands
 Verify HD Radio is turned “off”*
Driver Assistance
Audi connect (USA ONLY) (if equipped)
 Verify operation of Audi parking system (if equipped)*
 Verify Audi connect Information Packet is present*
 Verify all cruise control functions
 Connect the dealer demo SIM card to verify system connects
to mobile network*
 Verify Audi side assist functionality (if equipped)
 Turn on the wireless network*
 Check Wi-Fi hotspot functionality*
 Activate NAV and follow directions back to dealership (if
equipped)
Post-Road Test Inspection
 Enable Google Earth*
 Interrogate fault memory and print Diagnostic Log
 Ensure the yellow tire pressure tag is installed on the steering wheel
On-Hoist Inspection
 Remove transport suspension blocks (follow ELSA instruction)
 Apply Inventory Maintenance Sticker
 Check steering, boots, brake system, hoses, tires and wheels
for damage
 Install showroom charger to ensure battery remains
charged at all times
 Check underside of vehicle for fluid leaks and loose components
 Record final mileage and sign checklist
 Inspect wheel bolts for proper torque*
 Install wheel bolt covers and center caps as supplied*
 Set and store tire pressures for either sold vehicle OR stock
inventory vehicle (See separate “2016 Normal Load Condition Tire Pressure Table” posted on ServiceNet)*
Driving Performance
 Verify engine performance and acceleration*
 Verify transmission operation, including shift paddles (if
equipped)
 Calibrate rear view mirror*
 Check steering/tire alignment
