2007-2015 EOS - Water Leak behind Exterior Mirror Triangle
Seal
February 13, 2015: Update to Model Year.
For customer concerns of water leaks behind the exterior mirror, please verify the location of the leak using
the test procedures described in Tech Tip 61-07-16. If leak is verified and pinpointed to this area, perform
the following steps:

Check window adjustment is even with top of mirror triangle (see first picture) and inclination of
glass is tight against the seal. If uneven, perform window adjust per ELSA and reset basics
settings. Retest for leak.
Inspect for any burrs on the top edge of mirror triangle seal on the door. If present, lightly sand with
150 grit sandpaper and retest for leak.
Build up “A” pillar seal using butyl (AKL 45000505) to increase tension to mirror seal
(see picture 2).
