Technical Background The noises are likely due to contact between the foam isolation blocks on the door front door panels and the door structure or vibration in the door wiring harness bundle or connectors. Production Solution The insulation mat of each front door panel is now installed to cover the foam isolation blocks so that it sits between the blocks and the door structure. © 2015 Audi of America, Inc. Technical Service Bulletin Service 1. Remove the right and left door panels. Inspect the insulation mat. The insulation mat will likely be mounted around the foam pads (Figure 1). Figure 1. Insulation mat installed around the foam pads. 2. Adjust the insulation mat. The insulation mat should be installed in such a way that it covers the foam pads and should now be between the foam pads and the door structure (Figure 2). Figure 2. Any loose sections of harness or connectors should be secured with tape to eliminate the possibility of harness or connector movement against the door panel or door structure. Figure 3.
