Advantage Series transmissions.

If a customer comes into your dealership and the chassis has the condition above, update the transmission software. Use
procedure below.
Warranty
Through Standard Warranty (excludes Extended Warranty) Kenworth will pay for parts at dealer net plus applicable mark-up
and labor:
0.5 hours labor to update the transmission software, if the software part number is 5569959. Use Quick Claim code
26-029.
No parts are to be replaced for this software update only repair.
No diagnostics or troubleshooting will be approved.
File a normal claim if the transmission software part number is 5569960 or greater and diagnostics are performed.
File an additional claim for extraordinary circumstances. A quick claim for standard labor must be filed first.

Background
There are calibration changes included in the MX engine MY2016 RC06 software release to change the U1548 fault to fault
type 32 (N1 – no lamp, fault recorded in DAVIE log file). The same change is incorporated in the MY2017 RC04 release. For
this reason, there may not be a lamp associated with the fault code.
Procedure
With Service Ranger, check the transmission software part number.
If the transmission software part number is 5569959, then update the software and do not perform diagnostics unless
the code returns.
If the transmission software part number is 5569960, perform normal diagnostics for the U1548 code.
