The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition / Concern A Manual Shift Auxiliary Position Switch (Shift Paddle) may need to be replaced for any number of reasons. Recommendations / Instructions If replacement of either shift paddle is necessary, the steering wheel does NOT need to be replaced nor does it need to be removed to replace either shift paddle. Please refer to Service Information "Manual Shift Auxiliary Position Switch Replacement - Steering Wheel" for the applicable vehicle you are working on for the replacement procedure. Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step.
