CONDITION SUMMARY:
SITUATION:
A roof panel molding may be loose and/or wind noise may be evident from the upper
windshield/roof panel area.
CAUSE:
This may be caused by poor fit of the corresponding parts.
ACTION:
Should a customer express this concern, follow the Workshop Procedure below.

The adhesive kit is sufficient to complete 30 repairs.

WORKSHOP PROCEDURE:

Remove the loose roof panel moulding causing the customer concern (see TOPIx
Workshop Manual section 501-08: Exterior Trim and Ornamentation - Roof Moulding).

Using a suitable tool, bend the tab to a 45º angle.

This step will aid in the installation of the roof panel moulding.

Position a suitable trim tool between the roof panel and the windshield finisher seal.

NOTE:
The area where the sealant is applied must be clean and dry.

Apply sealant from kit LR078295 to the roof panel moulding in the area shown.

NOTE:
The roof panel moulding must be secured in position for a minium of 1 hour
with suitable tape.
Install the roof panel moulding (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-08: Exterior
Trim and Ornamentation Roof Moulding).

Remove the trim tool.

Repeat steps 1-6 to the other side of the vehicle.
