In the event of a qualified complaint relating to high frequency flashing of direction indicator warning lamps and fault codes 22008/26008 for LED DRL
and turn signal are logged then carry out the following update
1. Ensure a suitable battery charger is correctly connected to the vehicle electrical system for the duration of this procedure
2. Connect the Bentley approved diagnostic tool to the vehicle On Board Diagnostic (OBD) socket. Note: Hardwire connections should be used
between the diagnostic tool and the OBD socket and when connecting broadband to the diagnostic tool

3. Switch on the ignition using the ignition key (see Figure 1)
4. From the diagnostic tool main desktop select Off board Diagnostic Information System
5. Select – Start diagnosis
6. Adopt correct vehicle identification
7. Select guided fault finding to check and clear the vehicle of any fault codes. NOTE: At this time if requested to Make a Target/Actual comparison
do not perform this action select NO

8. Select Special functions (1), Select SVM – Problem related Hardware/Software Update (2), Select Perform test (3) (see Figure 2)

9. At SVM screen enter (1) the specific SVM code 4V0LCMPAR and then Adopt (2) (see Figure 3)
10. Select Yes at confirmation screen for SVM code 4V0LCMPAR
11. If prompted enter your global user ID and password

12. Once parameter setting that requires changing is detected select Done/Continue (see Figure 4)

13. Control unit 29 - light control left will be presented for parameterization allow tester to run through process (see Figure 5)
14. A second parameter setting will be presented for changing select Done/Continue to parameterize control unit 39 –light control right follow
screen prompts to complete the update

15. Select Done Continue at successfully completed screen (see Figure 6)
16. On completion select Guided fault finding to check and clear the vehicle of any fault codes generated as a result of performing this campaign.
Error code: U101100 Supply voltage Voltage too low, this code may be present in control unit 29 or 39. No action in respect to this
code is required. The code will clear during normal vehicle operation.

To identify the TPI has been carried out apply a blue paint mark to the top of the relay box adjacent to the right hand bonnet hinge (see Figure 7)
