SERVICE INFORMATION
If DTC P0315 is stored on an Applied Vehicle, do not erase it.
If DTC P0315 is stored, the description on the CONSULT-III plus screen will be listed as:
(TBD) Crankshaft Position System Variation Not Learned.
If you find DTC P0315 stored, please note the following:

Do not erase the DTC.

It will not turn ON the MIL.

No diagnosis or repair is necessary.

It will clear itself after a few trips with normal operation of the vehicle.
NOTE: If DTC P0315 is erased with C-III plus, the ECM will restart the learning
pattern:

The DTC may be stored again before the learning/driving pattern is complete.

The MIL will not come ON.

The DTC will clear itself after a few trips with normal operation of the vehicle.
