DOOR MIRROR TURN SIGNAL REPLACEMENT

IF YOU CONFIRM
If you confirm the turn signal in the left or right side door mirror assembly needs to be
replaced.
ACTION
Replace ONLY the turn signal. Replacement of the entire door mirror assembly is no longer
required.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
Angled in
1. Angle the affected door mirror glass
(mirror) as shown, with the lower half of
the mirror pulled out and the top half of
the mirror pushed in.

NOTE: Door mirror assembly has been
removed for clarification purposes only.
Door mirror assembly does not need to
be removed to replace the turn signal.

2. Pull from the bottom of the mirror to
release the mirror lower clips.

3. Once the mirror lower clips are released,
lift the mirror to release the mirror upper
hooks.

4. Disconnect the 2 mirror heater wires.

5. Look inside the mirror housing to locate
the lower outer pawl.

6. Using a small flat blade screwdriver or
equivalent, release the lower outer pawl
(circled in red) from the inside of the
mirror housing.

7. Gently insert a trim tool in the gap
provide by releasing the lower outer
pawl.

8. Continue working around the perimeter
of the mirror cover to gently release all
cover pawls.

9. Inspect the 6 mirror cover pawls to
ensure they have not been damaged.

10. Remove the turn signal screw and set
aside for use when installing new turn
signal lamp.

11. Remove the turn signal and disconnect
the turn signal electrical connector.

12. Install new turn signal.
13. Connect turn signal electrical
connector.

14. Reinstall the turn signal screw.
