MIL ON with Over Temperature DTC’S P102A, P0128 Model(s) Year Touareg 2011-2013 Eng. Code Trans. Code VIN Range From VIN Range To All All All 3.0L TDI CATA/CNRB Technical Background Engine overheats within the first 10 minutes of the starting the vehicle, and then the temperature will go back to normal range. Fault codes P102A or P0128 are stored in the ECM and the vehicle will have no heat. This is a result of a sticking -N82- Coolant Shut-Off Valve (solenoid valve) located in the left inner wheel well area behind the front wheel housing liner (for heating controls). See wiring diagrams, component locations, vehicle front in Elsa. Service Replace the -N82- coolant shut-off valve.
