CAMPAIGN PARTS BULLETIN – FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION DATE TO CAMPAIGN April 07, 2017 Dealer Principal, Sales Manager, Service Manager, Parts Manager, Warranty Administrator, General Manager SAFETY RECALL 69N1 – TAKATA SDI Driver Inflator SAFETY RECALL 69N2 – TAKATA PSDI5 Driver Inflator MARKET(S) PARTS INFORMATION United States • Audi is preparing to finalize the customer mailing to all remaining Priority Group 5 vehicles in safety recalls 69N1 and 69N2. • The recall circulars have been updated also to show Priority Group 4 and Priority Group 5 are released for repair with no restrictions. Please ensure the latest version is being used by all dealership personnel. • In order to support the anticipated parts demand, dealers will receive an increased volume of parts to perform repairs. • Dealers are encouraged to repair ALL Priority Group 4 and 5 vehicles with no limitations. • Priority Group 6 vehicles are not released for repair. IMPORTANT REMINDER ON VEHICLES AFFECTED BY SAFETY & COMPLIANCE RECALLS New Vehicles in Dealer Inventory: It is a violation of Federal law for a dealer to deliver a new motor vehicle or any new or used item of motor vehicle equipment (including a tire) covered by this notification under a sale or lease until the defect or noncompliance is remedied. By law, dealers must correct, prior to delivery for sale or lease, any vehicle that fails to comply with an applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard or that contains a defect relating to motor vehicle safety. Pre-Owned Vehicles in Dealer Inventory: Dealers should not deliver any pre-owned vehicles in their inventory which are involved in a safety or compliance recall until the defect has been remedied.
