• Recall 127640 [USA]: An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
  Volkswagen group of america, inc. (volkswagen) is recalling certain 2005-2008 audi a4 sedan, a4 avant, s4 avant and s4 sedan, 2007-2008 rs4 sedan, 2004 rs4 cabriolet, 2007-2009 a4 cabriolet and s4 cabriolet, 2005-2011 a6 sedan, 2006-2011 a6 avant, and 2007-2011 s6 sedan vehicles. These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.
  audi has notified owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag with an alternate remedy part, free of charge. The recall began june 29, 2018. Owners may contact audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 69r7. Note: this recall supersedes recalls 16v382, 17v032 and 18v004 and includes vehicles that may have had their air bag previously replaced under one of those campaigns.

• Recall 2016065 [Canada]: Airbag
  On certain vehicles, the driver frontal airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Correction: dealers will replace the front driver airbag inflator. Note: this only affects the cabriolet versions of the audi a4 and s4 models.

Received airbag recall nhtsa 16v079 on april 2016. After almost 3 years of waiting for parts due to shortage the airbag was replaced on february 2019. On april 2019 airbag light came on. Dealer scanned vehicle and said was unrelated to the airbag which it was just replaced and wanted to charge me over $800 for a rear seatbelt tensioner. I didn't think they were being honest so i took the car to another non-audi dealer and they confirmed the airbag codes were related to actual airbag which was replaced. After a lot of back and forth and aggravation with audi, they decided to replace the airbag a second time on may of 2020 and airbag light went away. However, 5 months later on october of 2020 airbag light came back on. Dealer now says the airbag control module is not good and wants to charge me $2,800 plus taxes to replace it. I feel they don't know what is causing the problem and are presenting me with a fat bill with the hopes i will walk away without repairing, this way they are off the hook from any obligations to repair the car or potential law suits in case of an accident. I am running out of options at this point. I feel the dealer and manufacture are not taking responsibility to repair an issue which started after the airbag recall replacement and now they want to charge me $3,000 for something i am not even sure it will work. Is there a law that would protect the consumer from this type of situation? After all this was a recall..... What is my right at this point?

This recall was issued in feb 2018. I had my car at audi, mohegan lake, ny for service in july 2018. Parts apparently were not available. I have not been contacted since for the repair. When calling 5/29/2019, i was told i would be put on a waiting list, which has appx 80 people on it. They could not confirm if i was already on from my july 2018 visit. This is dangerous and need a remedy.

Takata recall. I went to audi melbourne fl 2 yrs ago and they said they replaced it...Three months ago i got notification that it was not a permanent fix...I took it back to them on the 15 of may and since then the light on my dashboard says that it is not working...It takes me 5hrs back and forth 2x and a day off work...I was told that they would charge me if it was not their problem...Well the light was not going on before and i was told the was not permanent fix either...I have grandchildren that i take from school...This is disgusting at best...They said they would have someone bring my car to them and leave me without a car tomorrow...Great how do i get to work...What is going on...What should i do!!!

Fuel starts to leak out of the fuel pump tank seal right after filling up the gas tank and when parked on slopes

I've called multiple times to schedule an air bag recall fix but i keep getting blown off.

2007 audi a4. Consumer writes in regards to issue with oil consumption. *ld the consumer stated the oil return rings collapsed. The motor got hot and caused 3 holes in 3 exhaust valves. The manufacturer was notified. *js

Recall has been extended time. Excessive notifications requiring consumer to check on part availability. Poor exchanges between audi (recall servicer) and service provider. Mailings of cards, letters, emails meaningless if part allocation has not been made. Frustrated by the management of a critical safety issue.9898l
