Warranty Communication
Audi Warranty
Subject: Repair Validation and Clarification for Repair
Group 19
Dealers: U.S., Puerto Rico
Number: AWC-19-04
Date: July 22, 2018
This document conveys general
Warranty information.
This communication is being issued to clarify the repair validation process for Repair Group 19 when there
is a customer concern of leaking. Please note that the pressure test to validate the repair can be performed
while the system is being filled. This is included in the main SRT, and no additional time is needed. Because
the repair validation is performed by the pressure test, a test drive after the repair is not needed for
validation and should not be claimed.
In addition, as with any claim, multiple repair lines should be reviewed to ensure there is no overlapping
labor.
When performing repairs without a customer concern, always refer to the add-on policy in section 4.2 Addon repairs, the categorization of leaks explained in section 4.35 Leaks, and the authorization requirements
listed in 3.3.1 Required information on repair order in the Audi Warranty Policies and Procedures manual.
As a best practice, photo documentation may also be required to validate repairs.
Questions or concerns may be directed to Audi Warranty at 866.677.2834 or [email protected].
