• One of the following DTCs is stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 01):
• DTC P2070 (Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) Valve Stuck Open).
• DTC P2006 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Closed, Bank 1).
• DTC P2007 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Closed, Bank 2).
• There may be slight power reduction at high RPMs.
This condition does not cause stalling.

1.
Use the vacuum pump to identify the vacuum leak
in the system. Attach vacuum pump as shown
(Figure 1).

Apply vacuum.
3.
Identify the leaking vacuum line by separating and blocking each section.
Tip: The vacuum line (06E133633) attached to the vacuum pump (Figure 1) is usually the causal part.
4.
If a vacuum leak is identified, replace the appropriate vacuum line.
5.
If vacuum stays stable during the test procedure, check corresponding actuator diaphragm:
• DTC P2070 may be caused by a leak in the IMT actuator diaphragm.
• DTC P2006 and P2007 may be caused by a leak in the manifold runner actuator diaphragm.
