INTERACTIVE NETWORK View Message Next Unread Message Sent on 06 From American Honda Parts, Service & Technical Division, Campaign Administration Subject Safety Recall: 2005-10 Odyssey Fuel Pump Module Leak UPDATE DATE: 05 2014 Expires on 06 19 2014 June 5, 2014 TO: All Honda Sales, Service & Parts Managers and Personnel FROM: American Honda Parts, Service & Technical Division, Campaign Administration RE: Safety Recall: 2005-10 Odyssey Fuel Pump Module Leak UPDATE On March 13, 2014 American Honda notified NHTSA of a Stop Sale order and Safety Recall for all 2005-10 Odyssey vehicles. When the campaign was launched, countermeasure fuel filter sets were not available for order. As of today, June 5, 2014, the countermeasure fuel filter sets are in stock and available for dealer ordering. Any used vehicles in dealer stock must be repaired per S/B 14-032, Safety Recall: Odyssey Fuel Pump prior to sale. Refer to VIN Inquiry status to determine which vehicles in your inventory are affected. The previously administered procedure of inspecting all vehicles and replacing fuel filter sets as necessary is no longer valid. From this point forward, all vehicles should be repaired using the countermeasure fuel filter set and procedure outlined in S/B 14-032. To reflect this change, VIN inquiry links to S/B 14-015 have been expired, and all affected vehicles, regardless of any repairs made previous to June 5, 2014, will show an open link to S/B 14-032. In mid-June American Honda will begin notifying customers that parts are available. As always, be sure to check VIN Inquiry status to ensure a particular vehicle is eligible for this recall. Return Request You must return all 17048-SHJ-A00 & 17045-SHJ-A30 you have in inventory. No Shipment Listing or Invoice is required for this return. These returns will not be charged against your SRA credit. Return iN OAR Procedure 1. Complete the iN OAR procedures. 2. Use Reason Code “S,” with eleven zeros for the Shipper Number. 3. Use Item Number “9999.” 4. Enter “Ody Fuel Pump/Sending Unit Return” in the Remarks Section. 5. When approved an “Authorization Return document” via the mail will be received. Please return parts as normal with the “Return Authorization attached.” 6. Return P/N 17048-SHJ-A00 & P/N 17045-SHJ-A30 on your returning DSO Truck or normal method of return. After receiving the Authorized Return Documents, ship the parts freight prepaid. You will be credited return freight charges. Order adjustment requests (OARs) must be submitted by July 3rd, 2014.
