Procedure:
Inspect rocker arm/bearing saddle for the camshaft and (if necessary) replace parts of valve train
 Remove the oil filler cap from the valve cover. Using a flashlight, look through the oil filler opening to determine
the manufacturer of the rocker arms. See figure 1.

 INA rocker arm (illustration 1, left):
 Rocker arms do not have to be replaced.
 GT rocker arm (illustration 1, right):
 Replace the intake rocker arms according to the repair manual.
 Remove the camshaft bearing bridge according to the repair manual. Check the bearing bridge for damage.

 If the bridge is damaged as shown in figure 2 the following components must be replaced:
 Drain the engine oil of the warm engine according to the repair manual.
 Replace the engine oil filter according to the repair manual.
 Replace the following components according to the repair manual.
 Intake camshaft
 Camshaft bearing bridge
 Intake camshaft rocker arms (if necessary)
 Fill up the engine oil according to the repair manual.
Note:
If the camshaft bearing bridge is not damaged, diagnose the fault entries using Guided Fault Finding.
