Cause: Overload fracture due to incorrect torque being applied or incorrect process application and sequence being applied to the wheel stud following wheel removal and refit. Action: Ensure that the correct torque is applied in the correct sequence as detailed in Topix Section 204-04: Wheels and Tires. JLR do not recommend the use of air tools, for wheel nut removal and installation. Hand tools and a torque wrench - set to the correct value - should be used. Technicians - Please rate this SSM and provide comments so that future communications can be improved. 1 = Poor – Basic information provided – The SSM does not help me resolve the customer concern. 3 = Average – Adequate information provided – The SSM partially helps me resolve the customer concern. 5 = Excellent – All required information provided to resolve the customer concern. https://topix.jaguar.jlrext.com/topix/service/document/794635 7/7/2017
