Service Bulletin 18-025 March 16, 2018 Version 1 2016 Pilot: MIL Comes On with DTC P0300 - P0306 or P219A/B AFFECTED VEHICLES Year Model Trim VIN Range 2016 Pilot 2WD ALL 5FNYF5…GB000001 - 5FNYF5…GB033297 4WD ALL 5FNYF6…GB000001 - 5FNYF6…GB068026 NOTE The vehicle must have at least 5000 miles or more on the odometer and must have a build date of 3/1/2016 or earlier. SYMPTOM The MIL comes on with DTC P0300 (random misfire detected) and/or P0301-P0306 (cylinder misfire detected) or P219A/B (air-fuel ratio variation of cylinder (bank 1, rear bank/bank 2, front bank). PROBABLE CAUSE The injectors were installed improperly at the factory and/or contamination was introduced to the fuel system that is affecting the fuel flow. CORRECTIVE ACTION Replace the fuel injectors. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to the service information. 2. Remove the intake manifold and intake manifold base. Refer to the service information. 3. Remove the high pressure fuel pump cover. Refer to the service information. 4. Remove the fuel rail cover. Refer to the service information. 5. Remove the fuel joint pipe. Refer to the service information. 6. Remove the fuel rail and injector. Refer to the service information. 7. Remove the injectors from the fuel rail. Refer to the service information. 8. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Refer to the service information. 9. Check for fuel leaks. Refer to the service information. 10. Do an all DTC check, and clear DTCs from all systems. END Page 2 of 2
