REQUEST REGEN Button Missing From EATS Status and DPF Status Screens In
Instrument Cluster (IC) - Chassis Equipped With New (Updated) Cluster Design - Model
Year 2018 And Newer
Cause
Model year 2018 (Generation 2) Chassis may not display the REQUEST REGEN button
on the EATS Status and DPF Status screens in the instrument cluster. This may occur
following a software update.
Solution
An update to the Instrument Cluster software changed the location of the option to request a
Parked Regeneration in the Aftertreatment screens in the driver display on units equipped with
new style (color display) clusters.
Previously, the REQUEST REGEN button was located at the bottom of the screen on both the
EATS Status and DPF Status menus as shown below:
Following the update, the option to request a Parked Regen is no longer present directly on the
Status screens:
Request Regen is now included in the OPTIONS menu off of each of these screens as seen
below. The function can only be selected if a parked regeneration is required, and is locked out
if the unit is not stationary.
Inactive. Vehicle in motion or regen not needed
