Reason for block
Complaint:
Seat belt height adjustment nonfunctional.
Cause:
The pin for the seat belt height adjustment cable on the seat rail has broken out.
Remedy:
Clamp the broken-off pin in a vise and smooth down the surface of the break using a file.
Important: The anti-twist lock must remain intact.
Cut an inside thread M4 that is 10 mm in deep in the center of the pin. (see Picture 1)
Move the seat to the rear position to gain access to the hole.
Screw pin with listed bolt and washer onto seat rail with 3.5 (+0.5) Nm. (see Picture 3)
Secure the seat belt height adjustment cable again.
Finally, check
whether fore/aft adjustment of the seat is performed without noise over the entire adjustment range.
