Reason for block
Complaint:
Engine in limp-home mode, engine diagnosis indicator lamp lights up, fault code 11C300 (MODEL 639) or P11C300
or P019185 (MODEL 906) stored in engine control unit.
Cause:
Faulty crimping of female contacts on engine wiring harness to rail pressure sensor.
Remedy:
Important: Do not replace the rail pressure sensor!
If the fault code 11C300 (MODEL 639) or P11C300 or P019185 (MODEL 906) is stored in the engine control unit
1.
Perform quick test.
2.
Replace female contacts (A009 545 81 26) and gasket (A000 545 71 80) on engine wiring harness to rail pressure sensor.
3.
Prior to installing new pins, examine the pins and verify the pin contacts are not already spread (See attachment
"Good & Bad Crimping Examples")
4.
When crimping the pins on the existing wires take care to crimp the wires correctly. (See attachment "Good &
Bad Crimping Examples")
5.
Erase fault memory.
If this procedure has been previously performed and the fault code returns:
1. Perform quick test.
2. Create a PTSS case and attach the current quick test results.
